Our Origin
In 1990, David Clarke left the corporate valuation world with a vision to start something better. He believed the highest quality valuation services would be achieved when developed in a client-focused, boutique environment.
He then founded the Griffing Group.
Building the Vision
In the early 1990s, David recruited a team of seasoned valuation experts to join him in carrying out his vision for a client-centric firm.
Our hiring approach was simple and intentional: to bring on proven experts who shared David's values of excellence in work product, ethical conduct, and professional leadership.
Growing Our Valuation Expertise
In 2013, the addition of Joe Thompson expanded the firm's expertise in the valuation of equity, debt, and derivative securities. An adjunct professor of finance and accomplished author and speaker, Joe is a sought-after testifying expert for high-profile M&A and shareholder disputes in the Delaware Court of Chancery.
After serving in leadership roles at several national valuation firms, Dan Van Vleet joined the Griffing Group as a partner in 2016. His depth of experience as a testifying expert and as the developer of the Van Vleet Model for pass-through entities strengthened our valuation offerings.
Expanding Consulting Excellence
In 2023, Todd Antontelli joined the firm, expanding our services to include strategic advisory and M&A consulting.
With these added capabilities, the Griffing Group is uniquely positioned to provide a holistic suite of consulting services to corporate clients, private equity firms, attorneys, and individuals.
